Why Cadre

The case for a senior-led partner

Deep domain expertise and a rigorous, outcomes-driven process — with people senior enough to know which trade-offs matter.

01

Senior people, not slideware

You work directly with practitioners who have run engineering, architecture and hiring at scale. The advice is grounded in what ships, and we name the trade-offs in plain terms.

02

One partner, end to end

Strategy, delivery and the people who execute it share context under one roof. A roadmap can flow straight into a programme or a hiring plan with no loss of continuity.

03

Precision matching

We match the right talent to your exact context through deep domain expertise and structured screening — assessing for team fit, not keyword overlap.

04

Speed to value

Pre-vetted senior professionals and phased delivery mean value early. We target a qualified senior shortlist in under two weeks, and structure programmes so each phase ships something real before the next is committed.

05

Built for regulated environments

IR35-compliant contracting, security and data-handling as standard, and depth in financial services, healthcare and enterprise software — where reliability is non-negotiable.

06

A genuine partnership

We embed with your teams, transfer knowledge as we go and aim to leave you more capable than we found you — the kind of partnership built to earn the next engagement and the referral.

Practices

Three connected practices, one accountable partner

From the strategy on the whiteboard to the platform in production to the people who keep it running.

The engagement

From brief to outcome, in four steps

A clear, transparent process that moves at the speed your team needs, without skipping the rigour that makes the result stick.

§ 01

Submit a brief

Tell us about the role, the team and the outcomes you need. A clear, structured form is enough to begin — no lengthy intake calls just to get started.

§ 02

We scope and calibrate

A short, consultative conversation aligns us on what good looks like and the right engagement model — search, embedded delivery or advisory — and the must-haves that make the work precise from day one.

  • Right engagement model agreed
  • An honest view on timelines and trade-offs

§ 03

We match and deliver

Our consultants draw on an established network of pre-vetted senior people and screen for depth and fit — or stand up the delivery team. You get a qualified shortlist or a working increment, not a CV dump.

  • Technical and cultural screening
  • Transparent pipeline updates throughout

§ 04

You move with confidence

Interview a focused shortlist or review a delivered increment and move quickly. We support offer, onboarding and handover, and stay close through the engagement.

Talent Solutions + Technology Consulting

Scaling a regulated payments platform without slowing delivery

Challenge
A high-growth payments company had outgrown its monolith and its hiring pipeline. Releases were slow and risky, a critical Staff Engineer role had been open for four months, and an upcoming regulatory deadline left no room for a long search or a multi-quarter re-platforming bet.
Approach
We ran a two-week architecture review to agree a pragmatic, incremental path off the monolith, then placed a pre-vetted Staff Engineer and a Platform Lead within twelve days to drive it. The architecture roadmap and the talent plan were built from the same diagnosis, so the new hires arrived aligned to a plan rather than inventing one.
Result
The first decomposed service shipped to production inside the first phase, the regulatory deadline was met comfortably, and deployment frequency roughly tripled over the engagement as the new platform pattern spread across teams.

Digital Transformation

A phased cloud migration that cut run-rate and de-risked release

Challenge
An established enterprise software vendor was running a fragile, self-managed estate with escalating infrastructure costs and a release process so manual that deployments were reserved for weekends. Leadership wanted to move to the cloud but had been burned before by a stalled big-bang programme.
Approach
We shaped the work as discrete, value-bearing phases rather than one cutover. A landing zone and paved-road CI/CD pipeline came first, then we modernised workloads incrementally using the strangler-fig pattern, embedding with the client’s engineers and coaching them throughout so the capability stayed in-house.
Result
Within two phases the team was deploying on demand during business hours, change-failure rate fell sharply, and cloud run-rate came down materially against the previous estate once right-sizing and FinOps practices were in place.

Talent Solutions

An embedded squad that hit a fixed launch date

Challenge
A health-tech scale-up had committed to a partner launch date but lacked the delivery capacity to build the new data-driven product module in time, and could not hire fast enough permanently without compromising on quality or security.
Approach
Rather than a string of individual contractors, we assembled a pre-vetted, cross-functional embedded squad — engineering, data and product — that integrated with the client’s ways of working from week one and delivered against their roadmap and definition of done, with security and compliance handled up front.
Result
The module shipped on the committed date, the squad scaled down cleanly as planned afterwards, and two of the embedded engineers converted to permanent hires to retain the institutional knowledge they had built.
